Custom Foot Orthotics

foot_pageaA foot orthotic is a device placed inside footwear to support or correct musculoskeletal anomalies of the foot. Its goal is to optimize the mechanical function of the foot. Under ideal situations a foot orthotic should provide full, custom and correct arch contact permitting the foot to work in a biomechanically correct way during all phases of walking, running or other weight bearing activities. This full contact allows normal forces to be transcribed up through the entire body limiting destructive impact forces.
